LIFE IN UNIFORM

In this project, Tarun Parmar shows pictures of firefighters. He documents the daily activities of servicemen while on duty. He shows how the heroes in uniform stand up for their duties and are prepared for any situation throughout the day but like all of us, get tired as well.

He first thought of the project when he saw someone yell at and speak rudely to a firefighter in West Village. Tarun tells us how patiently they help you no matter what the situation is. This got him thinking and he chalked out a project about firefighters to soon realize that apart from just firefighters many uniform-clad jobs are thankless. Thus Tarun planned a whole series of taking pictures of firefighters as a way of thanking them for their work.
